A San Francisco seafood company is conducting a voluntary recall of oysters that have been linked to a multijurisdictional norovirus outbreak affecting numerous individuals, including over 70 from a food event.
The oysters in question were supplied by S&M Shellfish Co., originating from British Columbia, and affected restaurants across California, prompting a widespread alert and product disposal advisories.
The recall notice indicated that oysters impacted were distributed across 15 states, including Arizona and New York, raising significant concern over food safety in various regional establishments.
Dokkaebier plans to close its taproom after two years but will continue brewing and supplying drinks to different venues, despite the physical location shutting down.
