On March 1, 2025, the San Francisco Bay Times hosted a vibrant kickoff party at Catch French Bistro to celebrate Women’s History Month. Grammy-nominated Nadirah Shakoor, who recently enthralled audiences in the LGBTQ+ community, performed to the excitement of her fans. In a heartwarming act, she introduced Tory Teasley, an American Idol contestant and 2024 San Francisco Pride Parade Grand Marshal, showcasing the spirit of mentorship and empowerment in the arts. The evening concluded with a Grand Reopening Party at Lobby Bar, further fostering community in the Castro district.
