Woman who says she was accused of being a man in Boston hotel bathroom files complaint with AG's office
Briefly

Ansley Baker reported an incident at the Liberty Hotel in Boston where she was confronted by a security guard in the women's restroom, accused of being a man, and forced to show ID. Along with her partner, Elizabeth Victor, they filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office following the humiliating experience during a Kentucky Derby party. The hotel later changed its earlier statements and suspended the security guard after investigation, shedding light on ongoing discrimination and public safety concerns.
"It honestly just felt like my worst nightmare coming true," Ansley Baker told The Boston Globe. The security guard "was aggressive right off the bat, telling me to get out and accusing me of being a man."
"She was humiliated and physically confronted while still inside the stall, pulling up her pants, and forced to show ID to 'prove' her sex," Victor wrote in a Google review.
The hotel initially said the women were in a stall together, which is not allowed, and were ultimately removed because one of the women 'put their hands on our security team.' Victor denied that they were sharing a stall.
The hotel then seemingly walked back its statement a day later, saying the security guard was suspended from their position after an investigation.
