During the annual Trans March in San Francisco, participants gathered to advocate for the safety and rights of transgender individuals. The event, deemed more vital than ever, showcased a strong sense of community and solidarity against challenges posed by the current political climate, particularly the Trump Administration's policies affecting transgender youth. Voices from the march expressed determination, love, and resilience, emphasizing the importance of visibility and support for transgender individuals while highlighting rising mental health concerns among trans youth and their families.
I'm with my people, with my trans folks supporting us. There was just no executive order to get rid of us. And we're not going away.
It's a really clear message that we're here, this is who we are. This community is not going away. It's strong. It's joyful and it's defiant.
This year it's more important than ever to kind of come out and show support and show that we're here, and reminding people we're not going anywhere.
We're definitely seeing an uptick in Trauma, anxiety, and depression, not only in trans youth, but in families as well.
