Ukrainian intelligence has conducted a significant cyber operation, hacking into Russian television networks to reveal the harsh truths of the war in Ukraine. The Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR) successfully injected their own videos during prime time, exposing Russian citizens to the realities that counter the state-sponsored narratives of Vladimir Putin's regime.
This operation led to the temporary closure of several Russian TV stations as they struggled to combat HUR’s access to their servers. Multiple Russian channels, including Eurasia First Channel and Pervouralsk TV, had to interrupt their usual programming to address the intrusion, highlighting the effectiveness of Ukraine's cyber strategy.
