A recent Russian drone strike on Kharkiv resulted in nearly 50 injuries, targeting residential areas and causing significant damage. Kharkiv governor Oleg Synegubov reported that fires erupted and civilian infrastructure was affected. This attack is part of ongoing hostilities, with Kharkiv being a repeated target since the invasion began in February 2022. Prior to the Kharkiv incident, another strike in Zaporizhzhia injured over 20 individuals. President Zelenskyy condemned the attacks, criticizing the threats to civilians and pointing out the slow response from allied nations regarding air defense support, amidst a declared upcoming ceasefire.
"Nearly 50 people have been wounded because of the massive attack by the invader on four districts," Kharkiv governor Oleg Synegubov wrote on Telegram.
"There were no military targets, nor could there be any. Russia strikes dwellings when Ukrainians are in their homes, when they are putting their children to bed," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
