The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has led to a dramatic reduction in the country's population, with estimates dropping from 41 million to below 36 million. The war's toll includes tens of thousands of dead and millions displaced, revealing severe demographic challenges. These trends threaten Ukraine's economic health, political stability, and future military capability. Government initiatives aim to encourage repatriation and increase birth rates to combat this decline, with leaders advocating for families to have more children to secure a thriving post-war future.
The task is to return these families, to return these children and also to motivate Ukrainians to have as many children as possible, so that Ukraine can prosper in its peaceful future after our victory.
Demographic decline is critical and on par with our victory in the war, achieving a just and stable peace, membership in the E.U. and NATO, and rebuilding the country.
