Peter Sagan concluded his professional racing career at the Slovakian Mountain Bike Championships, his last-ever UCI race in any discipline, following health issues and a decision to retire.
Sagan, a former three-time road world champion, transitioned to mountain biking after heart surgery earlier this year, with a final flourish at the Tour of Slovakia.
Reflecting on his career, Sagan expressed gratitude for his journey in professional cycling and the support from his fans and country, ending on a positive note at his home race.
