"This is my redemption lap," the 32-year-old Upper East Sider told The Post, cheerfully recounting how she tackled the NYC Marathon just months after brain surgery.
Scaglione faced great health challenges, saying, "I was never going to let [my illness] define how I was going to live my life," emphasizing her determination to overcome obstacles.
Reflecting on her past, Scaglione recounted, "I lost sensation in my right leg, so I couldn't stand on it. I was told I would never dance again."
On why she took up running, Scaglione explained, "Like everyone else, I needed air. At first I was afraid with the nerve damage in my right leg."
