During an on-air discussion, Fox News host Will Cain engaged with journalist Glenn Greenwald on the subject of free speech, particularly focusing on conservatives' apparent retreat from their advocacy for free speech rights. Greenwald emphasized that true free speech advocacy should not waver based on political allegiance and criticized the rising trend of liberal and conservative factions calling for censorship against unpopular viewpoints. He also reiterated that since the Supreme Court affirms the rights of legal residents, their free speech must be upheld regardless of the prevailing political climate within university settings.
I mean, this is what happens when you are actually a principled free speech advocate instead of one who only objects to censorship when it's your political allies who are being targeted.
Of course people legally in the United States have the right to free speech, and we don't want to create any kind of a framework... where we have to censor those views in order to create a safe environment.
