The populist New Zealand First party has proposed a bill to legally define women and men based on biological sex, positioning it as a rejection of 'woke' ideology. NZF leader Winston Peters emphasized that the bill aims to reflect biological reality and ensure legal certainty while criticizing what he calls 'social engineering' by a minority. Although the bill was introduced by a member of parliament rather than the government itself, its future as law remains uncertain, especially given NZF's small representation in the coalition government.
This Bill would ensure our country moves away from the woke ideology that has crept in over the last few years, undermining the protection, progression, and safety of women, Peters said.
The need for legislation like this shows how far the deluded left has taken us as a society. But we are fighting back. This bill is a win for common sense.
