ZeniMax Workers United, comprising over 300 QA employees, is striking against Microsoft, asserting that remote work and outsourcing demands remain unmet, highlighting significant workplace issues.
"Outsourcing and remote work are both important issues facing our unit and the workplace, and the industry as a whole," ZeniMax Workers United emphasizes the critical nature of these topics.
"The issue is that Microsoft is taking action without notice or negotiation with our union. They are also effectively replacing in-house QA work with outsourced work," the union explains.
While the union accepts some outsourcing as necessary, they criticize Microsoft for bypassing negotiations, which undermines their labor rights and the integrity of quality assurance.
