Asda is calling all corporate employees back to the office three days a week from January, citing the need for efficiency in the fast-moving consumer goods industry.
Stuart Rose emphasized that having too many staff working from home is 'not a satisfactory way of working' and impacts operational efficiency in a collaborative environment.
In an effort to improve the working conditions, Asda plans to introduce better catering options, renovate bathrooms, and enhance office space—including meeting areas and quiet working pods.
The RTO initiative follows significant restructuring and job cuts at Asda, aligning the company more closely with its competitors after changes in leadership and ownership.
