Scientists Just Figured Out Exactly How People Judge Your Body Count
Briefly

Research from Swansea University indicates that prospective partners often judge individuals based on their sexual history, particularly the number of previous partners. While many prefer partners with fewer sexual encounters, those who had numerous partners but showed a reduction over time were more favorably viewed. A study involving visual timelines illustrated that a decreasing number of encounters made individuals appear more appealing. Importantly, there was no significant gender double standard in judging partner numbers across the diverse international sample surveyed, challenging traditional perceptions about sexuality and commitment.
The research conducted across 11 countries found that prospective partners are often more lenient towards individuals with high body counts if their number of partners decreased over time.
In examining sexual history visual timelines, it was revealed that individuals whose number of partners dwindled were more appealing to potential romantic interests.
Survey results showed no double standard in the judgment of sexual partners' numbers between men and women across various countries.
Findings challenge the traditional views on sexual history, suggesting that prospective partners value growth and maturity over a static number of past encounters.
