Brittany Cartwright Is 'Glad' Jax Taylor Admitted to Cocaine Addiction
Briefly

As anticipation builds for the second season of 'The Valley,' Brittany Cartwright has publicly addressed her ex-husband Jax Taylor's struggles with cocaine addiction following his admission in a podcast. She emphasized the trauma his addiction has caused their family and expressed skepticism about his commitment to recovery. Brittany, who filed for divorce in August after a tumultuous marriage, shared her feelings about co-parenting their son Cruz and her hopes for Jax's improvement. Taylor, now 83 days sober, acknowledged his long battle with substance issues and his ongoing struggles to maintain sobriety.
I'm glad that he finally admitted to what was really going on. For the first time, I can speak openly about the extent of trauma he's instilled on our family.
Jax has caused an enormous amount of damage and I have very little trust in him at this point. My only hope is that one day, he will be a better person for his son.
I have substance issues - primarily with cocaine. I've been dealing with this on and off since I was 23, and now I'm 45.
I can't do cocaine without drinking. So I just gave up both. I'm proud to say I'm 83 days sober right now, which is the longest I've ever gone in my life without either.
