"This is a particularly exciting win as it allows me to get back to my roots in retail."
"There's lots of uncertainty given the increase in VAT from January and the change of government, but we relish the challenge and look forward to driving both footfall and spend in the centres."
Warner Estate appointed Manchester agency Pixel8 to provide design and marketing services for five shopping centres in northwest England. The brief covers print design, web development, promotions, event management, PR and advertising design. The centres include Market Place Shopping Centre in Bolton, Fishergate Shopping Centre in Preston, Middleton Shopping Centre and The Grange and Pyramids centres in Birkenhead. Pixel8 joint MD Jamie Watson formerly held head marketing roles at Sainsbury's and Iceland. Watson said the win allows a return to retail roots and noted uncertainty from the January VAT increase and government change, while expressing commitment to drive footfall and shopper spend.
