L.L. Bean to open another Mass. location
"L.L. Bean is bringing its signature outdoor lifestyle brand to MetroWest this fall. A 20,000-square-foot store will open in November at Framingham's Fresh Market Plaza. "Framingham's location in the heart of MetroWest makes it an ideal spot for our newest retail store," said Greg Elder, Chief Retail Officer at L.L. Bean, in a statement. "It will allow us to more conveniently serve our area customers with our outdoor-inspired, four-season assortment of apparel and footwear.""
"To staff the new location, L.L. Bean is hiring up to 85 employees for full- and part-time roles, including Store Team Leads and Sales Associates. L.L. Bean is accepting applications for open roles online. "The Framingham community values connection, an active lifestyle and access to the outdoors, which aligns perfectly with who we are as a brand," said Peggy Zaret, Manager of L.L. Bean, in a statement. "Our goal is to build a welcoming team of passionate individuals who are eager to share their love of the outdoors with our customers," she continued."
"An L.L. Bean spokesperson said the company does not plan to open any other Massachusetts locations this year. However, by the end of the year, the company will have opened seven new stores, including its first in Florida. In 2024, the company announced that it was expanding its retail presence, opening stores in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Indiana, with more to come this year in the Southeast and Midwest. Elder said at the time that the expansion would make L.L. Bean merchandise more accessible to a broader audience."
