Carpinteros sits in the bay of Zihuantanejo atop a hill that slopes down to Playa la Madera. The building draws inspiration from the sails that traverse the coast and from the craft of transformation, shaping form, openings, and material choices. The project translates the relationship between wind, material, and landscape into an architectural language that dialogues with the sea, the supporting slope, and surrounding context. The design team includes Cesar Belio + 22, lead team member Carlos Perezlara Angeles, designers Jose Antonio Vazquez, Ana Karen Cadena, Jesus Lopez, Cesar Octavio, and structural engineering by Omar Hernandez.
