""I was like, 'I hope I can do that for myself,' but I never had the funds,""
""That's how I figured I should use the money that I'm earning in Australia to do my long-overdue dream,""
""My friend's family owns the land, but they moved abroad, so it's just there,""
Eunice Panopio conceived the idea in 2018 while handling social media marketing for a woman who managed resorts and saw steady bookings. She later studied marketing and communications in Melbourne while freelancing as a graphic designer and photographer and working weekend shifts waiting tables. Panopio used earnings from Australia to fund a long-held dream of building a tiny house. She chose to build in Talisay, Batangas on a 1.3-hectare plot overlooking Taal Volcano and its lake. She prioritized Philippine-made furniture and materials. A contractor agreed to build the house for 750,000 pesos, and an investor contributed about 500,000 pesos.
