Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) has increased its order of electric Solaris buses with an additional 270 articulated buses, building on the previously ordered 50. This partnership is part of a flexible framework agreement allowing for a maximum of 700 electric articulated vehicles over eight years. The buses will feature Solaris High Energy batteries and offer multiple charging options to support BVG's long-term goal of integrating new technologies, including autonomous driving capabilities, reflecting the operator's commitment to sustainable public transport solutions in Berlin.

The framework agreement provides for a flexible and demand-oriented maximum quantity of up to 700 electric articulated buses over a period of 8 years.
