WhatsApp tests letting you block people from exporting your chats
Briefly

WhatsApp is currently developing an 'advanced chat privacy' feature, which enables users to control chat exportability and media saving in both single and group chats. When enabled, this feature prevents others from exporting entire chat histories, and it stops media sent in chats from being automatically saved to device galleries. Notifications will alert users within group chats when this feature is activated. However, users can still forward individual messages, limiting the feature's effectiveness in completely securing chat content. This new option is currently available only in beta versions for iOS and Android, with no specific rollout date announced.
The new advanced chat privacy toggle is found in the settings for both single and group chats... It will keep individual users or those in a group chat from exporting the whole chat history outside WhatsApp.
When enabled in a group chat, everyone in the chat will be notified that the advanced chat privacy setting is on.
The advanced chat privacy setting is only available in beta for now, and there's no indication of when it will get a wider rollout.
While the new option prevents entire chats from being exported, it's still possible to forward individual messages or screenshot them if the setting is on.
