Zayo Wins Middle Mile Project Funding in Dallas County, Texas
Briefly

Zayo's work with Dallas County is a game-changer for local communities, particularly those currently without access to reliable internet. By enabling local ISPs to provide competitive services, we're not only making internet connectivity more accessible and affordable for Dallas County residents but also opening doors for local communities to take advantage of enhanced broadband access.
The middle-mile project involves constructing or upgrading over 60 miles of network across Dallas County, targeting 10 priority ZIP codes based on needs assessment, enabling 24,000 underserved households to gain internet access.
Zayo's partnership with Compudopt will include a two-year, $150,000 investment to provide 300 laptops, tech support, and digital literacy resources to 1,500 individuals, enhancing education and workforce opportunities.
Zayo's funding for this project represents its second successful award from ARPA's middle mile program this year, adding to their ambitious plans for broadband expansion including a 2,500-mile network in Nevada.
