Will an Oasis reunion be a success? Definitely. Will it be worth it? Maybe | Alexis Petridis
Briefly

The cocktail of oddly wistful, melancholy lyrics and melodies and the seething, barely contained frustration in their delivery sounds like a perfect evocation of a desire for escape.
Oasis's first two albums and the accompanying singles and B-sides were fantastic. Their debut Definitely Maybe sounds more potent now than it did in 1994.
Nearly 30 years later, Champagne Supernova sounds like the 90s equivalent of celebratory, elegiac songs documenting the waning of the glam rock era.
I'm neither a diehard fan nor an implacable naysayer; I simply appreciate what Oasis brought to music without fully encamping myself in either camp.
