UK workers cheated out of 2bn in holiday pay, says TUC report
Briefly

A recent TUC report reveals that 1.1 million employees, primarily from vulnerable positions, were deprived of £2 billion in holiday pay, largely due to workplace fear and unrealistic workloads.
The report highlighted that black and minority ethnic workers were disproportionately affected, with 6% of BME employees missing paid holiday compared to 4% of their white counterparts.
Jobs such as waiters and care workers are among those hardest hit, indicating a worrying trend of low-paid employees struggling to claim their entitled holiday pay.
The TUC's findings emphasize the need for a Fair Work Agency to enforce basic employment rights and mitigate the exploitation of vulnerable workers.
