Two-year standoff over rail strikes comes to an end as train drivers accept pay deal

The end of two years of strike action that caused significant disruption was announced as Aslef members voted 96% in favor of a deal for a near 15% pay rise.
Mick Whelan, Aslef's general secretary, expressed immense satisfaction, stating, "It is with great pleasure that we can announce the end of the longest train drivers' strike in history."
