TSA is quietly adding facial recognition tech to 400 US airports

Speaking about its added facial recognition measures, a TSA spokesperson told Dailymail.com that 'the technology greatly improves security efficiency and effectiveness' and said it 'enhances the passenger experience.'
'Passengers should not have to choose between safety and privacy when they travel,' Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) said regarding the TSA's roll out. 'The TSA program is a precursor to a full-blown national surveillance state. 'Nothing could be more damaging to our national values of privacy and freedom. No government should be trusted with this power.'
