Const. Boris Borissov, a 48-year-old officer with 16 years of service, was arrested at Montreal's Trudeau International Airport while attempting to flee Canada amid multiple serious charges.
In April, Borissov allegedly took a missing person's possessions during a police investigation and provided their debit card to another individual for fraudulent purchases.
Facing a total of 10 charges related to theft and fraud, including failing to comply with legal orders, Borissov has been suspended with pay pending the outcome.
Despite his 16 years of service, the charged officer is now facing serious allegations that have raised significant concerns regarding integrity within the Toronto police force.
