Over the last six months, Meta has slowly begun to make good on its promise to make Threads compatible with the fediverse, allowing users to share posts to Mastodon and other Activity Pub-enabled services.
Now, Threads is making replies from Mastodon servers and other federated accounts more visible by creating a new "fediverse replies" section underneath posts that received those replies.
Prior to this change, most users likely didn’t see many replies from the fediverse unless they had a large following. This update allows easier access.
The feature, currently in "beta," has limitations including that some replies might remain unseen and there’s no support for replies to replies, hindering full engagement.
