South Staffs Water faces group action over Clop ransomware attack | Computer Weekly

Almost 1,000 individuals have signed up for a class action lawsuit against South Staffordshire Plc after their data was stolen and leaked by the Clop/Cl0p ransomware group. Barings Law, headquartered in Manchester, is spearheading the legal action on behalf of the victims, who had their personal information leaked on the dark web.
"This cyber attack has exposed a significant number of individuals to potential risks and damages," said Adnan Malik, head of data breach at Barings Law.
