Georgy Kavzharadze, a 27-year-old Russian national, was sentenced in the US for selling over 297,300 stolen credentials on the Slilpp dark web marketplace.
Kavzharadze's fraudulent activities, spread over nearly five years, were linked to more than $5 million in fraudulent transactions, later reduced to $1.2 million restitution.
The US authorities traced over $200,000 in Bitcoin withdrawals back to Kavzharadze, connected to his activity on the Slilpp marketplace.
The takedown of the Slilpp marketplace in 2021 revealed extensive vendor information, enabling law enforcement to track down individuals involved in the illegal transactions.
