Ron DeSantis signs bill requiring parental consent for kids to join social media platforms in Florida

The bill completely bans children younger than 14 from participating in social media platforms and requires consent for 14-15-year-olds.

The companies behind the platforms must delete accounts within five business days and face fines of $10,000 or $50,000 for violations.
