In the wrong, or maybe just less right, hands, the set-up of pacy thriller Relay could have been the set-up for a standard-issue network pilot, but David Mackenzie aims higher.
Mackenzie, along with co-writer Piasecki, pays homage to 70s and 80s thrillers while steering clear of pastiche, creating a rich and immersive experience.
