Nearly 138,000 beds under recall after reports of them breaking, collapsing

Nearly 138,000 Lucid-branded platform beds are being recalled due to incidents of collapsing, posing significant fall and injury risks to users across the U.S. and Canada.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported 245 incidents of bed failures in the U.S., with 18 injuries recorded, primarily consisting of contusions and bruises.

`To ensure safety, consumers are advised to cease use of the recalled beds immediately, contact Lucid for a replacement, and mark the bed's support rails for identification.`

Despite production ending between 2019 and 2021, these recalled beds continued to be sold at major retailers until April 2024, including Amazon and Walmart.
