More than 17 Million Travelers Expected to Fly Over Labor Day, According to the TSA - What to Know If You're One of Them

"People are traveling more than ever this summer and TSA along with our airline and airport partners stand ready to close the busiest summer travel period on record during this upcoming Labor Day weekend," TSA Administrator David Pekoske said in a statement.
"In fact, the TSA said it has so far screened a total of 239.8 million people since the Memorial Day holiday weekend - or an average of 2.7 million per day - and the ten busiest travel days in the agency's history have all occurred this year since May."
"Major airlines are also anticipating record-breaking numbers for Labor Day... United Airlines... expects more than 2.9 million passengers to fly with the carrier between Aug. 29 and Sept. 3, an increase of more than three percent compared to last year."
