A Florida-based background-check company's database was breached, exposing the private details of 2.9 billion people, including Americans' social security numbers, available on the dark web.
The cybercriminal group 'USDoD,' based in Latin America, is selling the stolen database, which includes address histories and information on relatives of millions of US citizens, even deceased individuals, for $3.5 million.
