Briefly

State Rep. David Love (R) has been ordered to pay $100,000 each to two drag queens for defamation after falsely accusing them of being pedophiles.
The drag queens, Robert Champion and Michael McMahon, filed suit after receiving death threats stemming from Love's allegations, which he made while proposing a controversial bill.
Love's false claims included accusations against Champion of being a 'convicted sex offender' and McMahon of inappropriate behavior during drag events involving children.
In his public apology, Love admitted that his previous statements were based on 'inaccurate information' and acknowledged the harm caused by his unfounded accusations.
