Former Bay Area man pleads to bilking former employer out of $3.2 million
Briefly

Euan David MacGregor, formerly known as David Joseph Bean, pleaded guilty to embezzling $3.2 million from his employer by diverting checks into a shell corporation.
MacGregor created a shell corporation with a name similar to his employer’s, allowing him to deposit diverted checks into accounts he controlled, defrauding his company.
In addition to the check diversion, MacGregor falsely claimed he had outsourced bookkeeping work, leading to wrongful payments to another company he controlled.
The fraud allowed MacGregor to finance personal expenses including mortgage payments, credit card bills, and family-related costs over several years.
