FAI receive 38 complaints in wake of 1990s abuse scandal as David Courell defends Hallgrimsson methods
Briefly

"The Raiseaconcern service that we introduced is working... to date, we've had 38 approaches to the service. But they are across the spectrum of different areas, from governance to harassment to bullying to abuse."
"While it's difficult to see these cases coming forward, we are encouraged to see that people see there is a route for them to be brought to our attention. And we're committed to supporting them in any way we can, and also bringing any issues they have to a resolution."
"We are treating all of these cases, irrespective of the genesis of them, with the utmost seriousness. Cases that meet a possible criminal threshold are being referred on to An Garda Síochána."
"It's difficult, most importantly, for the brave women who've had to share their experiences and bring this to light... I've been happy to hear the PFAI tell the AGM that the FAI had 'put its best foot forward in this situation.'"
