Dublin Airport delays continue as power restored but 34,000 premises in North Dublin still without electricity

An ESB power outage in the North County Dublin area resulted in a loss of power in Terminal 2 of Dublin Airport, affecting its operations on Sunday morning which led to flight delays.
DAA apologises to all passengers who were inconvenienced by this morning's issues," the Dublin Airport spokesperson said. "Dublin Airport's teams worked to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and to ensure the return of power to T2.
ESB Networks crews mobilised immediately following reports of the fault and are currently investigating the cause while also carrying out the necessary repair works. We apologise to all of those impacted for the disruption caused.
"As always, passengers seeking updates regarding specific flights should contact their airline directly," DAA added. Passengers can check the status of flights on the dublinairport.com website.
