Border Force staff at Heathrow Airport launch four-day strike in rosters dispute

Around 650 members of the Public and Commercial Services union (PCS) are taking action at the west London airport, amid complaints that new rosters are inflexible.
The union said its research showed that four in five Heathrow Border Force workers suffer from stress at work, and more than one in four have taken time off due to stress.
General secretary Fran Heathcote stated that the new roster system is severely impacting the wellbeing of members, particularly those managing home responsibilities alongside work.
A Home Office spokesperson acknowledged the hard work of Border Force employees, expressing a commitment to find a mutual agreement through ongoing conversations with the union.
