An audit highlighted that Johnson directed a subordinate to search the email of his superior, Shay Ralls Roalson, in an attempt to find the unredacted email address of the complainant. Although initially denying any misconduct, Johnson acknowledged that his intent was to verify the anonymity of the complaint. He subsequently resigned following the investigation that revealed these actions.
