NYC Michelin Powerhouses Crash Kann For Portland Takeover
"Kann, the James Beard-winning spot from Gregory Gourdet, is hosting a multi-restaurant takeover that pulls three of New York's most acclaimed Korean kitchens into one Southeast Portland address. The series, framed as a cross-city exchange of tasting menus, family-style feasts and a high-energy barbecue run, will bring Junghyun and Ellia Park's Atomix, Atoboy and Naro into Kann's live-fire dining room, private room and basement bar."
"Atomix is among the U.S. restaurants highlighted by the MICHELIN Guide and has also been recognized on continent-level best-restaurant lists, per The World's 50 Best. The Parks' broader Na:Eun hospitality group, which includes Atoboy (opened in 2016) and Naro, has helped push Korean cuisine into the national spotlight."
"Atomix will step into Kann's main dining room with a multi-course tasting menu, while Naro will handle a family-style service in the private dining room. Atoboy, meanwhile, is slated to run a high-energy, Caribbean- and Korean-influenced barbecue service from April 3 through April 5 that will not require reservations."
