B. Patisserie, a celebrated San Francisco bakery renowned for its kouign-amann, is poised to open in the former site of Miller & Lux Provisions in Union Square around mid-March. Chef Belinda Leong, in partnership with Michel Suas, expressed excitement about this opportunity with the city. Though Leong initially did not plan to expand, the pop-up lease aligns with her focus on community outreach. The new location will feature a smaller selection of favorites and a grab-and-go menu, with fresh baked goods sourced from her nearby kitchen.
"Union Square is iconic. It was an honor that they asked us to be part of this."
Leong wasn't in the market to expand B. Patisserie, but the kiosk opportunity was appealing and gave her a chance for greater outreach.
