REPORT: Steelers 'made a few phone calls' on ex-Bills WR Stefon Diggs
Briefly

Early in free agency, there was buzz that the Steelers were interested in adding a top-tier receiver and one insider believes the Steelers front office inquired about Diggs. 'I don't know that for certain, but I would imagine, given their desire to find a proven WR, they made a few phone calls,' Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac wrote.
For now, George Pickens moves to the No. 1 spot on the depth chart for the Steelers, which might make Steelers Nation nervous as he has never held such a role professionally. Unless they acquire a veteran receiver, Pickens remains the top option.
Diggs would've been a headache for the Steelers, so the team is focused on relieving pain rather than causing it by exploring other options besides acquiring Diggs.
