Pickett says he will get chance to be Browns' QB1
Briefly

The Cleveland Browns have traded for quarterback Kenny Pickett from the Pittsburgh Steelers to address their uncertain quarterback situation. With starter Deshaun Watson recovering from an Achilles injury, the Browns aim to revamp their roster. Pickett, who previously had limited starting opportunities, expressed excitement about competing in the AFC North and stated he sees himself as a starter. Furthermore, he indicated the Browns are likely to sign a veteran quarterback as well, reflecting the team's commitment to enhance their quarterback options in the upcoming season.
"I'm excited to get back into [the AFC North] and I just think it's a great opportunity to go compete," Pickett said Thursday during an introductory news conference.
"I do view myself as a starter," said Pickett, who holds a 15-10 record as a starter in the NFL.
Pickett said that in exit meetings, he knew a trade was possible but was a bit surprised his landing spot was in Cleveland.
Pickett said he expects Cleveland to sign a veteran quarterback at some point and is "fine" with Wilson, who replaced him in Pittsburgh, visiting the team.
