Phoblographer sold no ads to major camera manufacturers last year and prioritized authenticity and transparency. Banner ads currently support staff salaries and server expenses, making them difficult to eliminate. Charging every visitor $1 for a week could fund the site for a year, and converting monthly visitors to annual subscribers could finance multiple years of operation. Annual ad-free membership costs $25 and includes no banner ads on mobile and desktop, discounts on Capture One, and discounts on Herbs and Kettle Tea.
