To my pet rat's grave robber:
Briefly

The act of placing deceased pet rats in the dumpster symbolizes abundance and freedom. A ritual involving neighborhood flowers and Cheerios is performed before laying the rat to rest. Shortly after, an individual scavenging through the dumpster discovers the rat and questions its presence. Anger arises over the disrespect shown towards personal trash and the disruption of a meaningful farewell, leading to a curse cast upon the scavenger for their actions.
I feel like it holds symbolism for them as a place of abundance and freedom, as well as being their traditional stomping grounds.
We did a little ritual where we arrange neighborhood flowers around her and give her Cheerios for her journey/rat Charon.
As if we have ANY responsibility to make our trash accessible to the people that go through it?
I hope the rest of your waking days are haunted by rodents from now on.
