Norfolk couple reunited with their dog stolen seven years ago
Briefly

After seven years apart, Rita and Philip Potter were joyfully reunited with their Labrador, Daisy, who had been stolen in 2017. Despite the long wait, the couple always held onto hope. The theft inspired significant public action, leading to the Pet Abduction Act in 2024, making pet theft a serious offense. Daisy was found by RSPCA inspector Kim Walters with untreated health issues, 200 miles from her home. Her microchip facilitated the reunion, bringing immense joy to the Potters, who had never given up on finding her.
We kept a photograph on the mantlepiece and would look at it every day, thinking of her and where she might be. So it is an absolute dream come true that the RSPCA found her and have returned her to us where she belongs.
I was a bit choked from listening to them and clearly how much they loved her, so it was great telling them that we could get her back home soon.
