On Sunday afternoon, the mutilated remains of what seemed to be two animals were discovered at the Centerville Train Station in Fremont. Authorities were alerted by Amtrak police about the decapitated and eviscerated animal found on a park bench, along with several bags containing additional animal remains, including intestines. A forensic veterinarian was contacted to help determine the species and cause of death. Fremont Animal Services is seeking public assistance for information related to the case, which remains under investigation.
