Appeal after adorable kittens abandoned in filthy carrier
Briefly

Two eight-week-old kittens were abandoned in a filthy carrier on Silkstream Road, Edgware, on February 13. Found by a member of the public, one kitten had managed to escape onto the street. The RSPCA is now caring for the kittens, named Eclipse and Star, who are recovering well after being initially weak and timid. Inspector Mike Beaman temporarily took them home for initial care until space was available at the animal center. The RSPCA is appealing for information about their abandonment and encouraging pet owners facing difficulties to seek help rather than abandon their pets.
"They're doing really well. They were a bit timid at first but they're coming around to the idea of fuss now."
"We understand that people's circumstances may change...but we'd urge them to never abandon their pets and instead reach out for help..."
